ALVA

Over the course of a year, I had the pleasure to work with Carucel Eiendom on their ambitious new brand and rental concept, Alva. Alva is a housing service that offers young tenants a professional, progressive, and safe rental experience in central Oslo.
Carucel Eiendom approached Mos to help them develop a name, strategy, visual identity and website for Alva that would highlight the idea of community through necessity and combat the isolation of young people. The identity takes the position that every young adult, student, or Oslo newcomer deserves a comfortable home, a place to be.
Through the strategic process, we found it was essential to meet the target group where they are. Not to sell a glossy rental company with fully updated apartments, but rather to convey a sense of authenticity, freedom, and growth. The logo is meant to be informal and playful but at the same time strong and reliable. Warm colors and casual photography help build a sense of community and youthfulness while strict layouts let viewers know Alva takes them seriously. Additionally, graphic window shapes are subtly woven through the visuals, from the website to social media, helping to further establish a sense of fun and individuality.
