RØROS TWEED
Over the past 4 years, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with the renowned Norwegian brand, Røros Tweed on their look books, printed matter and more.
In 2021 Røros Tweed asked Mos to help them create a new brand strategy and revitalize their visual identity to celebrate 80 years of business. Overall, Røros Tweed needed help establishing consistency across the brand and building a solid strategic foundation for the future.
The result is a clean and consistent brand identity that builds on their commitment to craftsmanship and knowledge of wool and weaving processes. The visual identity emphasizes the duality of being confident yet humble through its references to the company’s historic roots contrasted against contemporary Scandinavian design. That’s why keeping the essence of the brand, like the logo, was essential in this process.

The brand lift comes more from conceptualizing how the elements of design are used to tell the Røros Tweed story more than any major changes to the brand so many know and love. Subtle color adjustments from hard black and white to warm brown and a wooly cream add a softness to the expression. Adding a flexible color system inspired by featured products helps show Røros Tweed’s commitment to spotlighting design talent. And creating a system for printed matter revolving around quality paper selection and flexible grid systems helps Røros Tweed exhibit the quality of their line of products.
